While bear sightings are never guaranteed, they’re definitely one of the special experiences that make the Smokies so magical. Just remember to admire them from a safe distance and never feed or approach them.

At first, I wasn't sure what to think of the new twigloo at Anakeesta, but I really like it NOW.😊

I think it only needs a sign on it to identify with the park, but guests will still flock to this area for pics, and some will mark the spot to pop the ultimate question.❤️

Christmas in the Mountains ❄️
There’s something holy about waking up to silence so deep you can hear the snow fall. The cabin smells like pine and woodsmoke, the fire crackles low, and outside the world is nothing but white peaks and frozen lakes reflecting a sky full of stars.
We spend the days skiing quiet trails where the only tracks are ours and the occasional moose. Evenings are for board games by candlelight, too much spiked hot chocolate, and falling asleep to the soft thud of snow sliding off the roof.
No malls, no traffic, no rush. Just cold noses, warm hearts, and the kind of peace you can’t wrap in paper.
If you’ve never traded city lights for mountain nights at Christmas, put it on the list. Your soul will thank you. 🏔️🎄
