Busy day today focusing on fire safety yet again. Installed 14 interconnected smoke alarms, evacuation maps, fire extinguishers, and CO alarms at one cabin. Then finished replacing a chimney chase at another cabin right down the road, everything from the framing to the siding, trim, and flashing had to be rebuilt after the original was too damaged to save. Another reminder to get ahead of fire inspections before the dreaded “fail and shutdown.”

We recently completed a project where we replaced all the exterior steps and railings, which had deteriorated. We also added a new staircase on the back deck with a small concrete landing, giving guests easier access to the beautiful creek and fire pit behind the rental property. Reminder: Fire Code Inspections Outside City Limits

Many properties are receiving multiple fails during inspections, which means no guests until the issues are corrected.

This week, we installed a new window (pictured left) to ensure proper egress. On the right, you’ll see a different cabin with one of the most dangerous hot tub disconnect setups we’ve encountered.
