Today, Sevier County mourns the loss of one of our own.

Dolly Parton was so much more than a country music legend. She was a daughter of the Smoky Mountains who never forgot where she came from. Her love for Sevier County, her generosity, her faith, and the countless ways she gave back to this community have left a legacy that will live on for generations.

We are incredibly proud to call the same place Dolly called home, and our hearts are with her family, friends, and everyone whose life she touched.

Thank you, Dolly, for always carrying a little piece of East Tennessee with you wherever you went. You made Sevier County proud. You will be missed. 🤍
