1️⃣ Budget beyond the mortgage payment
-Your payment isn't just the number on Zillow. It's taxes, insurance, utilities, lawn care, and the mysterious $600 Home Depot trip you swear you didn't plan.

2️⃣ Check your credit.
-Not the "I think it's good?" credit. The actual number. Because 20 points can be the difference between "yay, new house!" and "why is my rate like this?"

3️⃣ Build an emergency fund.
-Because the second you close, the house will sense it.......and something will break out of pure spite.

4️⃣ Know your long-term goals.
