Something I think about on the regular...🤔

We all can sit and reminisce about the time when interest rates were a certain number or when houses cost a certain dollar amount but one fact remains the same: people need somewhere to live. 🏡

So you can choose to pay a rent (someone else's mortgage/investment) or you could choose to put that money toward a mortgage (your own investment/equity build). There are a ton of programs for first time buyers, low income, regular income, low down payments, mortgage companies paying closing costs, etc. I got you!! 💪🏼

And I understand that there's fear of the 'what ifs' that come along with owning a home. I.e., a furnace breaking, water tank, roof, etc, but I personally have found comfort in ownership and pride in ownership that I know I'm going to work that much harder to ensure I'm securing my property. 🫡

Your landlord can raise your rent📈, sell the home/building you're living in without you having any input in it, giving you minimal notice to find a new place 😫. If there's no property manager, they could take longer than anticipated in an emergency 🫪. I had a client that lost AC in the hottest days of summer while she was waiting to close on her home and the landlord didn't do anything about it!!

This review brought a little tear to my eye.🥹 Sometimes you deal with clients you never get to meet and you try to figure them out over text, phone call and email - what is their threshold for risk, how much patience they have, how they'll respond to any updates good or bad.

We went through a lot with this transaction. 🎢 A lot of things thrown our way including a new Ohio revised code being implemented because of a delay we faced with another transaction -- but we overcame all obstacles and I was able to get this closed for my seller and buyer clients. 🤩

When you wonder what you pay for when agents mention commission - it's experience, customer service, an agent who gets you from start to finish, who puts out the fires you didn't know were lit. I'm grateful for the challenges because it makes me more aware, more well rounded, and informed.
