Monday’s are never fun days. Yesterday we had a check valve break at one of our 12 plexes. This caused damage to the unit it was under.
Today, that same unit sprang 2 leaks when we turned their water back on which caused 2 more leaks. One from a shower valve and the other from a refrigeration line. These lines had been leaking for quite some time unnoticed.
When it hits the fan, it really hits!
3 units with damage in less than 24 hours!
I can’t wait for June to be over!
Does your property manager arrive on site within 15 min of a reported leak and make sure damage is minimized by turning off the water, including the suppression system? Does your manager stay on site until all of the contractors arrive for your safety?
Well, if your management company does not do this, you need a new manager! It’s the hands on quick mitigation of damage that saves thousands in repairs and puts your residents at ease, knowing everything is under control!
