What a privilege we had tonight to introduce our first scholarship at Eminence Middle & High School🎓❤️💙🤍We cannot thank Mrs. Deckard enough for all that she gave her students and we cannot wait to see the impact Emily continues to make!
”The Yenshaw family has been blessed to be part of this school community, and with four children here, this school has become a second home to our family. Through our real estate company, our family has talked about finding meaningful ways to give back to the people and community that have poured so much into our children.
We planned to begin a scholarship program next year, when our oldest graduates. But this year brought something very bittersweet. With Mrs. Angie Deckard leaving the school, we realized now is the perfect time.
There are certain people whose impact cannot truly be measured by titles or years served. Their legacy is found in the lives they shape, the encouragement they give, the students they believe in, and the way they make people feel seen and valued.
To our family — and to so many others — Angie Deckard represents servant leadership in its purest form.
So I am proud to present the very first Angie Deckard Legacy Scholarship. The scholarship amount of $1,000 will be awarded each year to a graduating senior who demonstrates servant leadership, strong character, compassion, perseverance, and meaningful positive impact on others within the school and community.
Mrs. Deckard, thank you for the countless ways you have invested in students, families, teachers and this community. Your influence will continue to be felt for many years to come.
It is my honor to present the inaugural Angie Deckard Legacy Scholarship to a student who truly reflects the heart and mission of this award…Emily Purvis.“
