Some projects are defined by the details. 31 Lengths was one of them.

With a limited run, every element of the final product was intentional, from the distinctive vessel and packaging to the production details required to bring the finished expression to life.

For us, that’s where stewardship becomes tangible.

Our role is to understand the vision behind a brand and make sure that vision carries through every stage of ex*****on. Different brands require different solutions, and the details matter.
We’re proud to have played a part in bringing 31
Lengths to market.

A great facility is only as good as the people and philosophy behind it.

On the latest episode of The Whiskey Trip, our CEO Monica Wolf Brown and Director of Operations Matt King sat down with Big Chief to talk about how The Blending House came to be and, more importantly, how we’ve built it around what brands actually need.

From barrel and maturation to market, the goal has always been flexibility. Listening to our clients. Moving at the pace their businesses require. And building our process around their vision rather than asking them to fit ours.

Monica and Matt also talk about the team behind the work and why experience, care and a sense of responsibility for every barrel and bottle matter just as much as the facility itself.

Along the way, they share both of their backgrounds and stories from EJ Curley & Co., Ten Runner Bourbon, 31 Lengths Bourbon and other partners that are bringing that approach to life.

Thanks to Michael James Hiatt and The Whiskey Trip for spending some time with us in Shelbyville. Listen to the full episode here: https://youtu.be/4iF2FhRXRxQ

Yesterday, we had the privilege of celebrating Eric Gregory as he received the Parker Beam Lifetime Achievement Award and was inducted into the Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame.

One of the things that stayed with us from Eric’s remarks was his reflection that over the past two decades, the Kentucky Distillers’ Association didn’t simply grow. It built.

Under Eric’s leadership, the KDA built a stronger organization, a thriving tourism industry, new partnerships and a broader voice for distillers large and small - along with much of the infrastructure that has helped Kentucky Bourbon become what it is today.

That spirit of building resonates deeply with us at The Blending House. A great spirits industry depends on more than what happens at the still. It requires people, expertise, infrastructure and partnerships working together to help brands grow, adapt and bring exceptional products to market.

Eric also shared a meaningful part of that history involving Richard Wolf, father of our co-founder and CEO, Monica Wolf Brown. Richard was serving as KDA Chairman when Eric joined the association in 2007 and became a trusted friend and resource as Eric began rebuilding the organization. Richard believed deeply in this industry and in helping others build within it. Eric has carried that same spirit of stewardship forward throughout the last two decades.

Congratulations, Eric, on this well-deserved honor. Kentucky Bourbon is stronger because of what you helped build.

We also extend our congratulations to each of this year’s Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame inductees. It was truly a special day for our industry.

Kentucky Bourbon Festival is always a good reminder that this industry is built on relationships.

This weekend, we were proud to have 31 Lengths Bourbon , EJ Curley & Co , Lucky 7 Bourbon , Ten Runner Bourbon , and Watch Hill Proper alongside The Blending House in Bardstown.

Each brand has its own story, its own vision and its own approach to whiskey. That’s one of the things we value most about this work. Our role is to understand what each partner is trying to build and help them bring it to life with the care and operational support it deserves.

Thank you to the clients, partners, friends and new faces who stopped by the tent, shared a pour and spent some time with our team. It was a great few days in Bardstown.

In a crowded whiskey market, single-barrel programs give brands an opportunity to showcase what makes each barrel, and each selection, distinct.

The Blending House was built to execute these programs efficiently. With 16 dedicated single-barrel tanks and the ability to double that capacity, we can process multiple barrels simultaneously without brands waiting for tank space to be available.

From dumping and proofing, through filtration, bottling and packaging, we help brands scale their single-barrel programs without creating production bottlenecks.

Distinct barrels. Consistent ex*****on. Built to scale.

We’re proud to be the production partner for NASCAR driver Ryan Blaney’s brand Ten Runner Bourbon. The origins of NASCAR and stock car racing trace back to moonshiners in Appalachia who modified their cars to outrun the police during Prohibition. We’re looking forward to tuning in to NASCAR Americana’s first episode this weekend to see Ryan’s piece!

Ten Runner is named in honor of the “Blaney family number” 10 and the influence that whiskey runners had on racing and car culture in America.
NASCAR released a new mini series this weekend: NASCAR Americana. The first episode is titled Rebel Roots and features Ryan Blaney. Check it out on NASCAR’s YouTube channel. 🇺🇸

One thing we’ve been thinking about recently is how we define growth in this industry.

For a long time, growth meant building more distilleries and increasing production. That made sense at the time. But the conversation is changing.

Today, operational excellence is becoming just as important as production. Brands need flexibility. They need trusted partners. They need infrastructure that helps them adapt as markets change.

That’s the future we believed in when we built The Blending House, and we believe it’s even more relevant today.

One year ago, the team at The Blending House traveled to China to begin what would become SHĀNG, a collaboration rooted in spirits craftsmanship, curiosity, and a shared respect for tradition.

From the very beginning, this project challenged us to think differently. Bringing together Chinese baijiu and Kentucky whiskey expertise required months of research, experimentation, and collaboration across continents.

For us, SHĀNG represents something much bigger than a single launch. It reflects what The Blending House was built to do: help exceptional brands bring ambitious ideas to life, regardless of category or geography.

We’re grateful to our partners at Guotai and True Essence for trusting us with the journey, and excited for what’s still to come.

When most people think about making spirits, they think about distillation.

In reality, that’s only the beginning.

Before a bottle of aged spirits ever reaches a consumer, it must be matured, blended, proofed, filtered, quality checked, bottled, labeled, packaged, and shipped. Every step presents an opportunity to either protect - or compromise - the quality of the spirit and the reputation of the brand behind it.

This is the work that happens after distillation.

It’s why we created a facility dedicated exclusively to the post-distillation journey. By bringing every stage together under one roof, brands gain more than efficiency - they gain consistency, confidence, and a trusted partner from barrel to bottle.

Because exceptional spirits deserve more than a great beginning. They deserve an exceptional finish.
