The purpose of Sunshine House is to assist homeless individuals and families in Shelbyville, Indiana, by fostering a supportive community environment and facilitating access to resources that promote self-sufficiency.

Did you know….
This winter EMA and Sunshine House partnered to host the Emergency Warming Shelter. During that time we hosted 739 guests and served 2,460 meals with 28 volunteers.
On Saturday, May 2, at 9am we are hosting a Cookies & Coffee at our Care Center at 267 E Washington St in the red barn.
During this event we will be sharing where we came from and where we are going. We have invited our volunteers and sponsors to join us during this time and we’d love to have anyone who is interested in learning about volunteer opportunities with Sunshine House to join us, too!

This week has been full of LIFE and love at Sunshine House. We have had meals provided by our community, haircuts given by a local hairstylist (thank you Courtney!), plastic mats being made by Debbie, official documents being worked on by our volunteers with our guests…and more yummy food. Always food.

Sunshine House will have an emergency warming shelter open Monday, March 16 at 6pm thru Tuesday morning at our 267 E Washington St (red barn) location.
