Wow, I’m a lucky momma!

Jake has this effortless calm and positive way about him that makes me feel a little dramatic at times haha. His ability to stay grounded and humble, his humor and wit keeps me laughing, rethinking and ultimately relaxed and grateful. Even when teasing me about my new tinted reading glasses, or enduring an impromptu Christmas breakfast at IHOP, Jake makes everything seem cool and the way it’s meant to be.

With my daughter being a career gal down south, we don’t get to spend as much time together as we once did - I’m even more thankful for the bond we share. We have a sweet habit of texting each other pics of heart-shaped objects we find along our paths. She sent this yellow heart-shaped leaf she saw in Hawaii. It’s her way of saying “I love you” from afar, and it means the world as a reminder that we are always connected.

Happy Valentine’s Day💖

I’ve been described by friends as someone who LOVES love. It makes sense, considering I was literally born on Valentine’s Day! 💕

But today isn’t just about romance, it’s about self-love, too. Life moves fast, and it’s easy to put yourself last. So here’s your reminder: you can’t pour from an empty cup.

For the remainder of the month, I challenge you (and myself!) to prioritize self-care. Take yourself on a solo date, book that massage, dance in your kitchen (or the rain), try yoga for the zen vibe or kickboxing if you need to punch out some stress! No judgment! 😉. Or simply enjoy a quiet moment just for you. Without multitasking, enjoy a cup of coffee, tea or wine.
No matter your relationship status, I hope you take extra time to love on you, because you, my friends, are worth it! 💗
