One of Charlie’s favorite places on earth is southeast Montana.

This spring, Charlie joined Roger and Gayla Schofield at the Back 40 Ranch for a 500 cow/calf pair branding. Roger and Gayla are close friends and cherished clients, and their operation is a true reflection of good cattle people, smart design, and the kind of work ethic that defines ranch country.

Their crew gathered, sorted, processed, and turned out 500 pairs by 4 p.m. in one day.

From gathering cattle out of the timber in the Bronc pasture, to moving mommas and babies through Roger’s newly designed curved alley and corral system, the day was a clear picture of efficiency, horsemanship, and low-stress cattle handling.

A huge thank you to the Schofields and the neighbors who continue to represent the heart and soul of cattle country.

This is working ranch country at its finest.
