Most people don’t know that J. Paul Getty — one of the wealthiest men in American history — owned an aircraft company in Tulsa after World War II. When the war ended and demand for planes dropped, he told his engineers to build the finest travel trailer ever made. Same monocoque construction as an airplane fuselage. Aircraft-grade aluminum. No expense spared.

They called them homes, not trailers.

We have two. The first is a 1956 Spartan Royal Manor, restored and planted on a quiet edge of Sheridan, Wyoming, where the trailer backs against a wetland. Deer move through at dusk. Pheasants work the grass most mornings.

Pick up a steak from Sacketts on the way in. The propane grill is ready. The vintage cooler is stocked if you bring the Black Tooth. When the fire burns down, the smart TV hinges down from the ceiling toward the couch — your own private drive-in inside seventy-year-old aluminum walls.

Sleeps two. Dogs welcome. Part of the Late Checkout WY compound on Coffeen Ave alongside Bondline, our 9-guest brick house — ideal for families or groups who want their own space within the same property.

We put a guestbook in every home.

Not a QR code. Not a digital guestbook. An actual leather-bound journal on an actual piece of oak.

Kayla and I started doing it because we love reading them when we stay somewhere. Where people came from. What they found. What they’re going to do next.

Stephanie and David checked out of the Troubadour on April 4th and wrote this:

Late Checkout WY is looking for detail-oriented cleaners for this summer and into fall. We manage 15 properties across Sheridan and we need reliable people who take pride in their work.

✅ Recurring work — this isn't a one-off. Good summer volume with steady work into fall and winter
✅ No laundry at most properties — just cleaning
