Bison doing bison things — unrelated, except that Born in a Barn weekend is next weekend and we have three houses open for the 18th and 19th.

All three are unique stays in Sheridan county. One walking distance to The Mint Bar, Sheridan WY. A vintage Spartan trailer five minutes from the gate at Born in a Barn and a custom built home from reclaimed timbers crafted by Heritage Woodworks that sleeps 8.

We used to sell at Born in a Barn ourselves — four Septembers in a row, one of them ending in a surprise snowstorm that flattened our tents overnight. These days we just show up to shop like everyone else, but our seventeen homes across Sheridan are still eight to twelve minutes from the gate, and a few of them still have nights open for September 18th and 19th.

Thursday the 17th is worth grabbing if you can swing it — get in the night before, have dinner, sleep, and be first through the gate Friday morning instead of driving in at dawn.

Our newest unit on N Main had its first guests a few days ago. 6 years of hosting and our first house warming gift courtesy of a guest.
