The changes to the buying/selling process you've heard about in the news begin this week but there's no need to panic 🙂

Here are a few key points to know if you're a buyer:

1) Before touring any properties you'll need to sign a Buyer Representation Agreement with your agent

2) This agreement is not necessarily binding as buyer broker/agent compensation will be negotiated when your offer is submitted

3) You'll more than likely need to sign multiple agreements depending on where the properties you're viewing are located and the list price of those properties

4) Make sure you're in constant communication with your lender as the lending process may change depending on what type of loan you're applying for

If there's one thing I know about renting it's that landlords will almost always raise your rent when they have the chance 😬

As someone that worked for some unsavory landlords in the past I can tell you it's much better to pay your own mortgage than to pay your landlord's. Even if you sign a one year lease, the costs add up quickly and when your lease is up you'll be looking at how much money you've spent that could've gone toward a down payment.
