Going to Mount Hood for some sledding has been on my bucket list for this winter. Surprise, this year Mount Hood came to our yard. Well, the mountain - quality snow did. The last three days have followed the joyous pattern of breakfast - sledding, snowman making and other winter frolicking followed by warm tea and lunch. Then late afternoon sessions of the same.
And it's absolutely perfect.

Friday Favorites:

The idea of community supported agriculture has been dear to my heart for years, but only after moving to did it become an integral part of our lives. We love our perfectly ripe, seasonal organically cultivated veggies ( and some berries and melons) year round. Thanks to Working Hands Farm our 4 year old can easily idenifity shish*to peppers and kalettes (something I didn't learn until my 30s.)

Note to self - read the seed labels carefully.... When it say giant pink banana winter squash, there is an emphasis on GIANT. When they started to grow out of control I got worried, but then got out the seed pack and actully read it. These squashes are only babies.. average mature length is going to be 3ft... 🙈.
On the other note, thankful for garden bounty this year, and to for MAKING the raised beds and filling them with soil and other furtile matter ;) for the kids and I to enjoy and care for.

Some days have so much joy and hope in them. Like the day I get a privillege to give the house keys to the new owners. Congratulations to the first time homebuyers on a beautiful Hillsboro home in an established neighborhood. What a great community to raise your beautiful family!

It's been weeks since I posted anything, so don't mind multiple posts this week :)

A day before Mother's day, we had a joy of seeing a wonderful art teacher of ours we haven't seen for a year ! She hosted a card making workshop for kids.. What a sweet reunion it was! Can't wait to see what new projects and creative home-made and grown items .farm makes in the future.

Also, scroll to see some of the mother's days gifts the kids surprised me. Including a kid-made strawberry 🍓 shortcake. Yum!
