Here is the prompt if you want to see what your energy mascot is...

Give my personality a mascot using what you know about me and the uploaded photo for my appearance, invent a funny cartoon mascot that represents my personality. Feature a glamorous cartoon version of me posing beside the mascot as if we are an iconic duo. The mascot can be an animal, creature, object, or completely imaginary character. Give it one small accessory or detail that connects it to me. Add its name and one short tagline explaining its energy. Keep everything else minimal. Here's a number school never mentioned. The median homeowner in America is worth about $396,000. The median renter? Around $10,000.

That gap comes from the Federal Reserve's most recent Survey of Consumer Finances, and it works out to nearly 40 to 1. Often similar paychecks, wildly different balance sheets.

Most of that difference isn't luck or income. It's equity, built one payment at a time, while renters hand their housing money to someone else's mortgage.

A lot of homeowners assume they're years away from having ""real"" equity. The numbers say otherwise.

According to ATTOM's latest U.S. Home Equity Report, more than 4 in 10 mortgaged homes in the country are equity-rich. That means the owner owes less than half of what the home is worth. Not paid off, not decades in. Just past the halfway mark, often sooner than people expect.

Labor Day is the one holiday built entirely around the value of work, so we'll keep this simple.

The house you're sitting in exists because of work. Someone framed it and wired it. Someone hung the drywall you never think about and moved on to the next house. The neighborhood around it runs on people who show up, most of them without any applause.

Today's a good day to rest if you can, and to notice the labor behind the life you're living.
