Route 72 eastbound past the Boatyard is currently shut down due to flooding.

A huge thank you to our **first responders and emergency personnel** for staying vigilant and working to keep our community safe. Please respect road closures and their guidance—and don’t put yourself or them in a situation where a rescue becomes necessary.

🌊 **Never drive through floodwaters.** You can’t always tell how deep the water is or whether the roadway underneath is safe.

🏠 Please be mindful of your neighbors. Driving through flooded streets creates wakes that can push water into nearby homes and properties—and can seriously damage your vehicle.

🚫 **Do not walk through floodwaters either.** Floodwater can contain harmful bacteria, debris, and other hazards, and currents may be stronger than they appear.

Stay safe, stay dry, and look out for one another. ❤️

ROAD CLOSURE – ROUTE 72 EASTBOUND

Due to significant flooding and hazardous roadway conditions, Route 72 eastbound is currently closed at the Boatyard.

There is no access to Long Beach Island via Route 72 at this time.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area, obey all barricades and traffic-control devices, and never attempt to drive through flooded roadways.

Due to the current conditions and increased call volume, please reserve 911 for emergencies only.

We will provide additional updates as conditions change.

With the storm still unpredictable and the potential for **heavy rain, strong winds, and tidal flooding**, we want to prioritize the safety of our staff, agents, clients, and community.
