La verdad, me molesta tener que hacer videos como este, pero desafortunadamente es necesario.

Por favor, tengan mucho cuidado cuando estén buscando una propiedad en renta. Las estafas de alquiler están por todos lados y los estafadores cada vez son más convincentes.

Algunos consejos para protegerse:
• Nunca envíen dinero sin antes verificar la propiedad y la identidad de la persona que dice rentarla.
• Si alguien les pide enviar dinero por Zelle, Cash App o Venmo solo para poder ver una propiedad, es 100% una estafa. Como agentes de bienes raíces con licencia, no podemos recibir pagos de esa manera. Nosotros solo recibimos nuestra comisión a través de nuestra oficina después de que una transacción se completa.
• La mayoría de los agentes inmobiliarios profesionales no se comunican exclusivamente por WhatsApp. Aunque algunos lo usan como un método adicional de comunicación, nunca debería ser el único medio, especialmente si les están pidiendo dinero.
• Desconfíen si el precio de la renta parece demasiado bueno para ser verdad.
• Pidan ver la propiedad en persona antes de enviar cualquier dinero.

It sucks that I even have to make videos like this, but unfortunately I do.

Please be careful when searching for a rental. Rental scams are everywhere, and scammers are getting more convincing every day.

A few tips to protect yourself:
• Never send money before verifying the property and the person renting it.
• If someone asks you to Zelle, Cash App, or Venmo money just to tour a property, it is 100% a scam. As licensed real estate professionals, we cannot collect money that way. We only get paid through our brokerage after a successful transaction.
• Most professional Realtors do not communicate with clients exclusively through WhatsApp. While some may use it as an additional way to communicate, it should never be the only method, especially if they’re asking you for money.
• Be cautious if the rent seems way below market value.
• Ask to see the property in person before sending any money.
• Whenever possible, work with a licensed real estate professional.

I’m making this video to clear my name because my name and photos have been used without my permission in rental scams across the United States. If you ever come across someone claiming to be me or asking you to send money for a rental, please contact me directly before doing anything.
