[New Jersey Holiday Events] Winter Solstice Celebration

Learn about the winter solstice, the first day of winter, around a campfire with a mug of hot cocoa. Register the entire family for this outdoor event before the busy Christmas season begins.

Registration is required at the Reeves-Reed Arboretum website, and the event takes place today between 4 and 5 pm.

[New Jersey Holiday Events] Turtle Back Zoo Holiday Lights Spectacular

Take a stroll through the Essex County Turtle Back Zoo this holiday season and see more than 50 illuminated winter scenes and animal characters. The event also has some fun activities such as ice sculpting demonstrations.

The Holiday Lights Spectacular is located at the Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange, NJ, and admission is free. The lights spectacular will not be open on Christmas and Christmas eve.

[Family Time] Loved by kids and adults alike, Montclair offers the best in NJ dining, arts, activities, education, and shopping. One fun place to visit in Montclair with your kids is Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center.

In addition to a stunning atrium with beautiful views, it has a skybox that overlooks the Yogi Berra Stadium, home to the New Jersey Jackals. The permanent exhibits include artifacts from the life of Yogi Berra, the legendary baseball player who was a 10-time world series champion.

The museum also offers a program for 5-12 grade school visits as well as baseball and softball summer camps which focus on skills training.
