The median U.S. home price will likely hit $1 million by 2050, according to NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun, who projects prices will rise 4% this year from a current median of roughly $430,000. Yun noted that the median price was just $90,000 in 1990, and currently sits at roughly $430,000, with multiple forecasting scenarios pointing to the same 25-year timeline.
