A lot of buyers are sitting on the sidelines waiting for rates to hit 6%. Here's the catch: when that happens, the floodgates will open.

NAR research shows that one move to 6% could suddenly make 5.5 million more households able to afford a home, and over 500,000 of them are likely to buy within the next 12–18 months. That means way more competition and bidding wars all over again.
