To kick off the 2021 holiday season and to show our appreciation to our residents, between Thursday, November 18 and Friday, November 19, 2021, Horning Brothers will be giving gift cards so our residents can purchase a turkey for Thanksgiving. Please contact the leasing office for details. 🙂

Did you know that Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States according to juneteenth.com? President Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation on January 1, 1863. However, it wasn’t until June 19th, 1865, two and a half years later, that Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas with the news that the war had ended and the enslaved were free. June 19th became a day of celebration, coined “Juneteenth.” Along with African American freedom, Juneteenth also celebrates African American achievement with a focus on education, self-development, and respect for all cultures. It is my sad duty to report that 5,000 Marylanders have now lost their lives to COVID-19. While many of us have grown numb to the daily statistics, each of these deaths represents somebody’s loved one, and each is a devastating loss for our state.
