Uphill season is here…skinning from the base of Peak 8 in Breck up to Vista House. Ending in darkness with a headlamp-lit ski down. Ellie is part of the Skimo club at school which gives us two opportunities a week to get out after work. We do consider this to be “fun” (at least Mich and I do 😅😉)

This week, new month... new numbers. We are seeing the inventory drop steadily as we head in to the holidays. New listings are hitting the market regularly but not as many each week as during the summer. There are a few properties on the market that have high days on market. Sellers are often times looking for an offer on these without doing a price reduction. It is somewhat counter intuitive, but is an interesting strategy to discuss if the property works for you. A punctured pex pipe in the apartment above my office meant a week of fans, dehumidifiers, spackle, paint and general disorder 🫠 All dried up, drywall is fixed and painted and we are back in action 🙌

It has been a bit of a week! My office got flooded from the apartment above, so apologies for the lighting being off as well as not the best sound. It is a bit echo - ey in my office right now. Hopefully we'll get that sorted quickly.

ANYWAYS... The market! The election has been settled and the markets are settling down. Interest rates are being stubborn and holding firm, but deals are being made and properties continue to sell. There are a few off-market opportunities, so stick around until the end to hear about those.

It’s early season for skiing (all the Summit County ski areas are now open!) but it’s feeling like deep winter out there - the snow is way easier to live with when you get out and enjoy it! This is mountain life!
