It's a celebratory Monday at our office! Today is National Association Executive Appreciation Day, which allows us to recognize our rockstar CEO, Denise Gutierrez. She's been crushing it for nearly four whole years with both superhuman energy and a spirit of fun. We're fortunate to have her at the helm.

We had a delightful Annual Meeting and Board Luncheon last Thursday. At the meeting, we thanked our outgoing members of the Board of Directors: Jeff Carlson, Christy Conrad, and Mark Vos. Jennifer Jansen, Iowa REALTORS 2nd Vice-President, was on hand to install our new board leaders, who will begin their terms of service on October 1. Newly elected to the Board are Pam Edwards, Jennifer Small, and Michelle White.

We also enjoyed an update from Jessica Felix with the Iowa Department of Transportation, and we learned there are A LOT of projects underway in the northwest region of the state.

And of course, the food and conversation were fantastic. Our next board luncheon is December 17 in Sioux City.

Our Annual Meeting and Quarterly Luncheon will take place September 17 at Noon at Hilton Garden Inn, Sioux City. Join us as we install our new Board of Directors, and hear from a guest speaker with the Iowa Department of Transportation. Lunch is FREE for NWIA REALTOR members and affiliates. 𝗪𝗮𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮𝟴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴? If so, you may qualify for a relief grant.

In partnership with the REALTORS®️ Relief Foundation (RRF), IR will provide up to $1,000 in housing relief to individuals who primarily reside in Jasper, Osceola, Story and Polk counties.

Qualifications for the grant assistance include:

Recipients must be a primary resident of the following counties and have sustained damage on June 28 and following days that have resulted in housing displacement or damage: Jasper, Osceola, Polk, and Story.

Assistance is available to qualified applicants as one of the following options:

Monthly mortgage expense for the primary residence that was damaged during the severe storms on June 28 and the days following.

Rental cost due to displacement from the primary residence resulting from the severe storms on June 28 and the days following.

Reimbursement for hotel lodging required due to displacement from primary residence as a result of severe storms on June 28 and the days following.
Reimbursement only covers hotel room and tax costs.

Relief assistance is limited to a maximum of $1,000 per household.

Our 2026-27 Board of Directors election ballots were sent out to all REALTOR members yesterday (8/26). Voting is open until 8:00 AM on September 15. All NWIA REALTOR members are encouraged to review the slate of candidates and cast a ballot via the secure voting platform.
