I wanna show you the power of posting to your social media, especially when you’re in real estate. This is a Home that was on the market and look how many views it got just from my post alone on my Instagram?  Over 2000 views! 
…I don’t even have 400 followers yet on Instagram… so how did this happen?
I made it a reel and when you do that, Instagram pushes it out for reach for potential new followers.

What that means though for this particular seller is that they just now had over 2000 more eyes on their home than they would’ve if I hadn’t posted it. Only six people liked it but guess what? …over 2000 people saw it. Do you know how long it would take me to have 2000 conversations or to host enough open houses to reach 200 people?? And that is the power in posting.

I’ve spent a long time trying to figure out how I’m supposed to market myself as a Realtor while looking at what everyone else is doing. The problem is that I don’t want to build a business by pretending to be everyone else.

I want real estate to feel approachable, honest and actually fun. I want to explain the complicated parts in normal language, show people more of Sioux Falls and highlight the local businesses and people who give our city some personality.

So this is the beginning of something new!

Will this be outside the traditional Realtor box? Absolutely. That’s kind of the point.

Sioux Falls real estate has been beige long enough. Let’s turn it pink!

🏡 It’s the FINAL weekend of the Sioux Empire Fall Parade of Homes!

More than 40 homes throughout the Sioux Falls area will be open this Saturday and Sunday, September 19 and 20, from 1:00 to 5:00 PM.

Whether you are actively looking for a home, thinking about building, or simply want to snoop around beautiful houses and gather design ideas, this is such a fun way to spend an afternoon. 😅

Most of the homes are completely FREE to tour! There are also two special Feature Homes that are $5 cash per adult, per home, with proceeds supporting the Home Builders Care Foundation.

A few helpful reminders:

🏡 Wear socks and shoes that are easy to remove
🏡 Bring cash if you want to visit the Feature Homes
🏡 No food or drinks inside the homes
🏡 Download the HBASE On the Go app for addresses, directions and home details

🏡 It has been quieter than we’d all like or hoped for after Labor Day.

That’s a difficult reality for sellers right now. Behind every listing is a real person with plans, deadlines, financial decisions, and a life they’re trying to move forward with.
