I started this practice back in 2017 and recently revisited it. It has changed how I am feeling, how much stress I feel and honestly overwhelm isn’t part of my day!
I read the book Tools of Titans and came across Morning pages by Julia Cameron. It is the process of writing three pages of brain dump every morning. It isn’t meant to have anyone read it - it is freeing your mind of clutter and allowing creativity to flow. One thing that I think is important for this practice is finding a pen that you love and glides nice. You will spend about 30 minutes doing this. Second is a mindfulness candle. This isn’t required, but I like to do it because it creates an ambiance as well as a timer. My candles last almost 30 minutes.
Here is what I have experienced lately. I got an outline done that I had been putting off for months, made decisions that needed to be finalized, got 5 photo books printed in less than 3 hours, created a budget and taught my planning method with ease to a coaching client. Those are things that had been weighing on my mind! Give morning pages a try - I know you will love it!
