Day 12 of picking prompts to speak impromptu to the camera to reduce filler words and become a better storyteller.

I talk about risk, haters from high school, and my poetry, teacher’s favorite artist that we saw in concert last night.

Do you enjoy these impromptu posts? Should I do something different? Let me know.

Day 11 of impromptu videos to improve my storytelling abilities.

Embrace the unknown and fall in love with the absurdity of it all.

Day 10 of my impromptu video series until I become a better natural storyteller.

I many parts of a whole. We all are. But I wish to express myself differently depending on what I’m currently into.

When you met me (or found me online), what kind of person was I like? Depending on when that was, the answers might change a lot! Lemme know and happy Friday

Day 8 of me talking to the camera impromptu until the millennial pause leaves my body and I become a natural.

Kindness is the best thing ever.

It’s not being friendly.
Or agreeable.
Or nice.

It’s fairness, compassion, empathy, and respect. It follows the golden rule: do unto others as you would have others do unto you.

Or in less biblical or Kantian metaphysical terms: “don’t be a dick.”

Kindness will save us from eating each other.

Day 7 of me talking to the camera impromptu with as little filler words as possible until I lose the millennial pause and become a natural.

I say that there are no emergencies in real estate and then get prompted about an end of the world scenario. Funny how that comes together, ya know?

If today was the last day for you, what would be most important?

Day 6 of until I get tired of posting daily until I become great at yapping at the camera with little to no filler words.

Happiness or purpose? Which is more important? I think it depends on who you ask but I think we can all agree it’s a good question.

Remember, your purpose is so much more than paying bills and keeping a house clean-ish. Your happiness is your own. There is no reason to withdraw from joy when there is such a finite amount of time to experience it all.

Day 5 of the Now We Practice Challenge.

Why did I start posting online? To find my people and to allow my people to find me.

If I seem like your people, welcome. I’m happy you’re here.

Day 4 of the Now We Practice challenge.

In the spirit of impromptu and off the cuff yapping, I tossed this one together really quick. It helps that the prompt was easy for me to answer.

I’m not upset that I have difficulty expressing anger. It’s one that I aim to get better at. For now the non-reaction is going to keep taking place. I’ll keep working on it.

And I hope you work at expressing your full range of emotions in a healthy way too.

Day 3 of 30, 100, or until I get bored of the Now We Practice challenge.

I’ve always wanted to be a good story teller and I feel like I am far from it. It always feels like at gatherings everyone else has the best stories and I got nothing. Anybody else feel that way? What do you do?

I will just keep trying. Happy Friday.

My year in numbers — and it’s not what you think.

A lot of coffee, a lot of movement, time outside, new skills, and meaningful work with people I’m grateful to serve.

2025 gave me space to do more of what I love.

Hoping 2026 makes even more room for growth, curiosity, and discovering what’s next.

Are you living in a home you’ve outgrown… but you’re not sure if it’s for a season or a reason?

A lot of Sioux Falls families hit this point and don’t talk about it.

You love your home. You’re grateful for it.

But life e x p a n d s:

kids get bigger, routines get heavier, storage disappears, and suddenly your home feels like it’s squeezing back.

Here’s the truth I see every day as a Sioux Falls realtor:

Most moves aren’t about chasing the “perfect” market…

They’re about wanting a home that fits the version of your life you’re living right now. Or on your way to living.

If you’re quietly wondering whether your home is still serving you

Or if you’ve simply outgrown it

You’re not alone.

And exploring your options isn’t a commitment. It’s clarity.

If you ever want a low-pressure breakdown of what a move-up could look like in Sioux Falls (budget, neighborhoods, timing, pros/cons), I’m always here as a resource.

Save this post for when the thought comes back around.
