Uniquely Yours Specialized Care, you are amazing!

💙 A new organization making a big impact in the Sioux Empire 💙

At Realtors for Kids, we’re always looking for opportunities to support organizations that are making an impact in the lives of local children and families.

Recently, we connected with Uniquely Yours Specialized Care, an organization dedicated to providing safe, inclusive, and compassionate care for children and young adults with disabilities ages 3–21. Their programs offer before and after school care, weekend respite care, summer programming, and support on no-school days, helping families access the care and support they need.

We were honored to purchase items from their wish list, and we’d love to help spread the word about the incredible work they’re doing in our community!

Clients, friends, family, and fellow colleagues- this is for YOU! 🩷

After almost 3 years at Coldwell Banker Empire Realty, I am closing one chapter and stepping into a VERY exciting new one!

I am thrilled to announce that I have accepted the role of Education Director at Realtor Association of the Sioux Empire! The real estate industry has given me so much, and i’m excited to continue serving it in a new capacity.

Hey, I’m Kinsey! 👋🏼🩷🪩

The best way to know me is to know the people I love!

I’m a wife and a mom of four- two boys, two girls, and they are genuinely my whole world. Each one is wildly different, and I LOVE that about them! Our home is loud and full and exactly how I want it. We have dance parties in the kitchen, marathon card game nights, and chaos that has just become our norm. 😅

Speaking of our home…we bought it in the middle of C*v*d. Three kids, a pandemic, and we purchased a two-bedroom home sight unseen because the character swooned me! And that’s when homes were going under contract in literal hours. We now have four kids crammed into 1,000 square feet, practically sitting on top of each other every single day. And…I love it. One day we may have more space, but I already know I’ll miss this season. There’s something about a home that’s full to the brim with the people you love most (no matter how many times a day I lose my ever-loving mind 😂).

My husband and I are rooted here in Sioux Falls, surrounded by family who live close..:which, if you know, you know how rare and special that is. Although we both grew up in Sioux Falls, we dated, got married, and had three babies far away from our family. After our 3rd baby, we both knew we needed to go back home. I am so thankful for a strong family dynamic- it’s the best and we are SO grateful for each and every one of them.

Outside of mom life, you’ll find me on a girls night with my Bible study friends or my work ladies. I got my work friends and my Bible study friends at about the same time- after years and years of having no local friends. They all have been such a gift.

Things to note: I happily eat off the kids menu and have zero shame about it. My taste buds are boring. 😑 I love a good musical. Oh…one more thing…I LOVE learning the history of organized crime 😂

I just love my family, my community, and my people so darn much. I can be here because of them. 🩷

Over 2,800 sq ft, 3 bedrooms, TWO living rooms, a dreamy walk-in pantry, and the perfect drop zone off the garage. Pretty AND practical. 10/10 from me!

Yesterday our YPN group with the Realtor Association of the Sioux Empire hosted an intimate morning at Oh My Cupcakes with owner Melissa Johnson.

I once believed cupcakes should be their own food group. Okay, maybe I still do (check the comments for a picture of my dinner at my friend’s wedding).😉 So OMC has always been a favorite spot of mine. But after hearing Melissa speak yesterday, I feel like I see it all in such a different way.

She shared about life before cupcakes, what it took to build OMC, and the hard parts none of us get to see. One thing she said that moved me was learning to live in the “and.”

Life can be beautiful and hard.
You can feel grateful and grieving.
You can be deeply joyful and still carry pain.

Our family has been unbelievably blessed, and God has been SO SO good to us…and at the same time, we’ve walked through things that have been life-altering. Some days it feels like I’m living two realities at once. How can life feel so full while also carrying immense heartbreak?

Melissa put words to something I think so many people quietly live every day: we are simply living in the “and.” It was incredibly comforting to hear that.

Melissa and her family have built something incredibly special in Sioux Falls, and she’s right… this community really is magical in a way that’s hard to explain unless you live here. The people, the support, the stories behind businesses like this… it just cannot be replicated. We are so blessed to live in such an amazing city!
