One of the first things I tell renters is to pull out their lease and check:
✨ When does your lease actually end?
✨ How much notice do you have to give your landlord?
✨ Are there penalties for leaving early?

🔑 He’ll close in October and can start moving into his new home.
🏠 His lease runs through the end of October, so there’s no stress trying to move everything in one day.
🙌 Then comes the best part: no rent payment AND no mortgage payment in November.
💰 His first mortgage payment won’t be due until December!

That gives him an entire month without a housing payment after buying his first home!

This is exactly why I recommend starting the homebuying conversation before your lease is about to expire. We can work backward from your lease dates, connect you with a lender, figure out your budget, and create a timeline that makes sense.
