I fell in love with Real Estate when I was 23 years old during my own first time home buying experience. I enjoyed helping buyers and sellers with a monumental experience in their lives for almost 2.5 years. Hurricane Katrina caused me to relocate from my home in St. Bernard Parish to the state of Kentucky where I left my Real Estate profession behind. I returned to Slidell, Louisiana after 6 mont

hs of living away from home but my return home took me on a new journey in the Psychology field where I received my Bachelor in Psychology. I returned to Real Estate in October 2019 with the renewal of my license in February 2020. I always wanted to return to Real Estate but I had to follow my Psychology journey first. Being back in Real Estate has brought back so much Joy and Happiness to my life. I currently reside in Lacombe, LA. I am a Proud Army Mom that loves spending with my Blended Family. ⚠️ WEATHER ALERT ⚠️

Please stay weather aware this week. Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected Tuesday through Friday, with the greatest chance for significant impacts currently expected on Thursday.

The biggest concern is heavy rain and possible flash flooding. Most areas could receive 3 to 6 inches of rain by Friday, but some locations may see much higher amounts if storms repeatedly move over the same area.

Potential impacts include:
• Street flooding and flooding in low-lying areas
• Heavy downpours with rainfall rates of 2 to 5 inches per hour
• Frequent lightning
• Wind gusts up to 40 to 50 mph
• Rising water levels in rivers, bayous, streams, and along Lake Pontchartrain

A Flood Watch remains in effect through Friday morning.

While not everyone will experience flooding, conditions can change quickly. Never drive through flooded roadways, and use extra caution during periods of heavy rain.

Need sandbags? St. Tammany Parish has opened a self-service sandbag station in Slidell at 34783 Grantham College Drive.
