🦀 What’s one of our favorite things after some good Maryland blue crabs?

🦪 OYSTERS!

And fall on Smith Island is the perfect time for both.

The crabs are big, the oysters are plentiful, the fishing is great, and as the temperatures start to cool down, the bugs finally start to die down a little. 🍂🎣

We have a some openings left from the last week of September through mid-October, and then plenty of availability throughout November.

Come spend a few days on the island, get out on the water, catch some fish, pick some crabs, shuck some oysters, and enjoy everything that makes fall on Smith Island so special.

🍂 Fall is one of our favorite times of year at Pelican Cove.

When we bought Pelican Cove, the way this bedroom was furnished made the room feel much smaller than it actually was. A little rearranging made a huge difference!

We replaced the carpet with new flooring, changed up the furniture arrangement, and gave the room a lighter, more relaxed feel.

And those old dressers? Why replace something that was already in great shape? I sanded down the tops, painted the rest, and gave them a whole new look. Plus, reusing what was already there meant less furniture to get over to the island and less furniture to put together.

Throwback Thursday 🦀🌊

It’s hard to believe this was once the living room at Pelican Cove! 😳

One of the biggest changes we made was opening up this wall between the living room and kitchen. What was once two separate spaces is now one big, open area that makes the house feel so much larger and gives everyone a place to gather.

A little demo work went a long way. 🔨➡️❤️
