🏡 THE APPRAISAL CAME IN LOW… NOW WHAT?

Imagine agreeing to buy a home for $450,000, only to have the appraisal come back at $435,000.

That's a $15,000 difference!

Does that mean the deal is dead?

Not necessarily. But it does mean there are some important decisions to make.

🤝 RENEGOTIATE — The buyer and seller may be able to agree on a lower price.

💰 BRING ADDITIONAL CASH — Depending on the financing, the buyer may be able to cover some or all of the difference.

📋 REVIEW THE APPRAISAL — If important information was overlooked, there may be an opportunity to request a review.

Of course, every situation is different. The purchase contract, financing, and available cash all play a role in determining the options.
