♥️🎄🥰 Drop your trees off!!!
There's still time to visit the Lights at Legion Trees at Legion Field each night from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. through January 1, 2025. Then, once the trees are undecorated, they will be headed to the chipper for the Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation annual Bring One for the Chipper program. In partnership with Keep Newton Beautiful and Newton County Solid Waste, the City of Covington will have a location at Legion Field to drop off your LIVE Christmas trees, to be chipped by the City's Right-of-Way crew, on Saturday, January 4, 2025. A designated area will be coned off at Legion Field (3173 Mill Street NE) from Thursday, January 2, 2025 through Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 11 a.m. We will only be accepting LIVE Christmas trees that are unbound and do not have lights or decorations.
Newton County Solid Waste will also be accepting live Christmas trees for Bring One For the Chipper at the Cook Road Convenience Center, located at 10 Cook Road, during the following times between Thursday, December 26, 2024 and Saturday, January 4, 2025:
Monday-Friday: 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday: CLOSED
New Year's Day: CLOSED
"Treecyle" your live Christmas tree to give it a second life in our community! 🎄🎄🎄
