Your brain has the ability to completely block out smells within minutes, and things directly in your line of sight in a matter of days. When selling your home, buyers see EVERYTHING, and make snap judgements on its condition. Take care of these ten, gross things you stopped noticing before going on the market. 🤢🏡

🐶 Pet odors. You don’t smell it anymore, but buyers do the second they walk in.
🧼 Dirty or worn carpet. Buyer see this as something they'll have to take care of and they mentally subtract it from your asking price.
🍳 Greasy kitchen cabinets. Especially near the stove. Signals lack of maintenance or care.
🚿 Mildew in showers, grout, or caulking. Buyers don’t think “easy fix”…they think “what else is hiding that I can't see?”
🗑️ Trash or disposal smells. The kitchen should feel fresh. If it doesn’t, it’s a problem.
🌬️ Dusty vents, baseboards, and corners. Subtle, but it makes the whole home feel less cared for, and look like deferred maintenance. Clean up the dust, debris and hair stuck in your corners.
🌬️ Dirty HVAC vents and filters. If these are visibly dirty, this raises concern about how well one of the most expensive components of your home has been maintained.
✋ Smudges, dirt and filth on corners and light switches. This high-touch places are also highly visible- clean them up.
🌸 Overpowering air fresheners. Feels like you’re hiding something. Big red flag.
👕 Musty laundry or damp smells. Even a hint can trigger mold concerns.
