Sold in Beacon Hill! A HUGE congrats 🎉to my wonderful client who bought his first home! We DID NOT have to participate in a bidding war and didn’t go over asking price. To make the deal sweeter the next door home sold for 50k above by the time we closed! Top 3 things on any Seller do list should be these three things:

1.) Paint the walls. Interior paint gives a home a fresh look and feel. Paint also minimizes damage from moisture and the sun as well as cover up minor blemishes that can be seen much easier by onlookers who are in your home for the first time.

2.) Declutter. This will make your home look bigger and cleaner. The point of decluttering is to help the buyer imagine themselves living in your home with THEIR items in it, not yours. Take down family photos too! In the kids room you can have a box ready that toys can be easily tossed in before showings. It’s a good idea to remove all of those extra items and store them in the garage or a storage unit. It will give you a head start on moving!

3. Create Curb Appeal.
Curb appeal is what the buyers will see when the approach your home. “You only have one chance to make a first impression!” Some things that can be done to create curb appeal include: Mowing & edging the lawn, power washing the driveway, trimming the bushes back from the home, beauty bark or decorative rock, painting the front door or placing plants or nice decor by the front door.
