🏡 Sometimes, the best part of real estate has nothing to do with real estate.
This is my third home in this neighborhood, and it really is such a sweet place to live. ❤️
I actually met this homeowner at an open house I was hosting for previous clients. She kept my information and called me when she was ready for a change.
I could tell you that we had multiple offers. I could tell you that we were pending in less than 7 days. And those things are exciting!
But what I really want you to know about is her.
She is the sweetest little lady who has been caring for her husband of 62 years. Her health has started making things more difficult, and because of her husband's condition, he isn't able to call 911 or help in an emergency. She knew they needed a change — and they needed it quickly.
There were moments when I'd call to check in and she'd say, "Kate, my head is spinning."
So I'd ask, "Okay… how can I help?"
Sometimes that meant helping get rid of leftover packing boxes. Sometimes it was coordinating donations, arranging trash pickup, making a dump run, or even watering her favorite plants. 🌱
Hearing her story absolutely melted my heart.
Because the truth is, selling the house is the job.
Going above and beyond? That's the heart of my business.
Hearing people's stories is one of my favorite parts of what I do. Helping make a stressful season feel a little lighter, being someone my clients can lean on, and knowing I made a difference — that's my mission.
