Why Boundaries Matter in Real Estate

Real estate moves fast.
But that doesn’t mean you have to be on 24/7.

One boundary I’ve kept pretty consistently:
I don’t respond to texts, emails, or calls before 8AM or after 8PM.

That’s still a strong window.
A full 12 hours to communicate, problem-solve, negotiate, and serve clients well.

Are there fire drills?
Of course.
And I’ve broken the rule when something truly needed it.

But this industry can burn you out
if you don’t take care of yourself
and set some parameters.

That boundary has helped me,
helped my family,
and my clients have respected it.

Because the goal isn’t to be constantly available.
It’s to be clear, steady, and fully present when it matters.

the first property I ever bought (and still own)
is one of these same little condos at 155 Rose Bay Dr #42 in Encinitas.

I originally helped this client buy in Carlsbad.
Then she told me she wanted to allocate some dollars into an investment property.
So we approached it the way I do for my own family: fundamentals first.

Between owning rentals personally and managing properties,

and helped her secure something that’s cashflow-positive
(which is not easy to do on the coast).

A look back at how we wrapped up at Culture Brewery in Solana Beach
to celebrate the 2nd Annual Little League Golf Fundraiser.

One of the best parts of the night was getting to say thank you
to Culture for hosting,

the board + volunteers,
and especially the golfers who came out for the league.
