🎈📈Fayette Co. Statistics📈🎈

Based on the 2024-2025 fiscal year, 66% of the abusers in our cases were immediate or extended family members.

This statistic builds off of the last one we posted where we shared that 100% of children knew their abuser. These crimes against children are being committed by people in the home- parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. Whether this is physical, sexual, emotional abuse, neglect, drug exposure, or lack of supervision, it all negatively impacts a childhood.

In the rest of our cases, the abusers were family friends, teacher, neighbors, or community leaders. Start the conversation with your schools, churches, or organizations about their child safety protocols!
