A Day in the Life of a Realtor: It's not all high heels and glam and honestly, I don't think the average bear realizes what it means to go the extra mile for clients. My sister says I should write a book! For example, this week I had to clean up a rat dismemberment from the front porch of my listing 15 minutes before a buyer arrived to see it. That was a first (and hopefully my last). And yet, the buyer wrote an offer. The next day I met an appraiser at another listing of mine, and discovered the seller had unplugged the refrigerator because it was empty. Unfortunately, the freezer still had ice ... so I came upon a large puddle of standing water on the kitchen's hardwood floor. Needless to say, I told the appraiser to start outside while I quickly found towels and mopped up the floor on my hands and knees. And yet, the property appraised for full value. It is never dull - I keep calm and carry on!
