🌀 HURRICANE SEASON IS HERE – ARE YOU READY? 🌀
The 2026 Atlantic Hurricane Season is underway, and now is the time to prepare before a storm threatens Southeast Texas.
Hardin County residents are encouraged to take simple steps today that can make a big difference when severe weather approaches:
✅ Make a Plan – Discuss evacuation routes, shelter locations, and communication plans with your family.
✅ Build a Disaster Supply Kit – Include enough water, food, medications, batteries, flashlights, and essential supplies to sustain your household for several days.
✅ Stay Informed – Monitor trusted weather sources and sign up for emergency alerts.
✅ Help Your Neighbors – Check on elderly family members, individuals with disabilities, and others who may need assistance before, during, or after a storm.
According to preparedness guidance from Texas Ready, every Texan should know their risks, have an emergency plan, prepare an emergency kit, and stay informed throughout hurricane season.
