After YEARS of waiting and planning, I can finally announce this!

Yesterday at PHM’s board meeting, my Real Estate course at Penn was APPROVED! Why is this a big deal?

Next year, students can take this course to fulfill their state-required 90 hours in the State of Indiana to get their Pre-License Certification to become a real estate broker. This course, normally hundreds of dollars, is at NO COST to students. Even better, this will be a part of their school day! No late nights having to drive to class and no need for an online video lecture! Once they turn 18, they are then able to take their certification exam to become a broker in Indiana.

Why is THAT a big deal?

Well, this has never been done before.

Like. Ever.

There has never - in any state, in any high school - been a class students can take to get their certification as a part of their course catalog. We are breaking new ground and I’m so grateful that this opportunity has been given to me. In a small way, we are making history in Mishawaka at Penn High School. Who knows how many more schools will see the value in offering this career path to students? Gone are the days of “college or trades”. I am hopeful that this sets up my students for careers in real estate, lending, banking, home improvement, home inspection, trades, sales, surveying, and more.

With that said, if you know anyone in PHM that has students at Penn, please SHARE THIS with them! I’m so excited to see where this leads, and I’d love for your families to join in this brand new adventure not only for me, but with Penn High School and Cressy & Everett School of Real Estate!

This is the second student I’ve helped with purchasing a home this year! As my freshmen grow up and become adults, I’ve watched them do so many great things. Amanda (closest to me in the picture) has her own painting business (Amanda’s Painting LLC) and works tirelessly day in and day out. It was so great working with her and Kaylee (who I didn’t have as a student, but was across the hall in another biology class)!

Ten years ago, I would’ve never imagined helping my high schoolers buy their first home. This has been a blessing that I never saw coming. I’m so grateful that for some of my kiddos, biology class was just the beginning of our journey!

As a real estate agent and teacher, I admittedly don’t spend a lot of time on social media promoting myself. I have kept my business down to word of mouth and those close to me who trust me with their property.

With that said, I am proud to say that I helped facilitate over $2.7 million dollars of real estate for the 2024 year.

As 2025 approaches, I look forward to another solid year of helping those in my community meet their real estate goals so they can keep pursuing other things that are important to them!

Just realized that my MLS automatically sends updates to this Facebook whenever I close on a house. Sorry for the automated-feeling posts!

With that said, I've been grinding like crazy. Family, community, school, and real estate are my ins and outs every single week.
