From FaceTime showings and nonstop texts… to officially HOMEOWNERS. 🏡✨

I had the pleasure of helping first time buyers relocate from Florida to the South Bend area, and honestly, there was a moment where we thought their weekend trip here to tour homes might end up being a dud. 😂

As the trip got closer, inventory was slim and none of the homes we had lined up were really checking the boxes. But I kept encouraging them to stay open minded because sometimes the process is about learning the market, exploring neighborhoods, and figuring out what truly feels like home.

Bittersweet one for me. 🏠❤️

Earlier this month, we officially closed on my parents’ home… aka my childhood home. A place filled with years of memories, chaos, holidays, laughter, slammed doors, and all the little moments that somehow become the big ones later in life.

What makes this story even better is how it all came together.

During our very active open house weekend, a family all the way from Lansing Michigan stopped by after seeing the open house online. They were relocating for work and decided to explore the area to see if it felt like home.

Well… it did.

They fell in love with the charm of the town, the warmth of the community, and the incredibly friendly neighbors that make this place so special. Shortly after, they submitted a full price offer and recently moved in.

As emotional as it is to close a chapter like this, there’s something really comforting about knowing another family is starting their next one here.

Happy for both sides. That’s what makes real estate so rewarding sometimes. 😊🏡
