Every week, The Crossing looks more and more like the home it will soon become for 23 new neighbors, and for hundreds more over the life of the building.

On the outside, siding and gutters are going up, giving the building a more finished look from the street. Inside, we’ve poured Gyp-Crete, a fire-rated underlayment often used in multi-family buildings to help improve fire resistance and sound control between floors while also preparing the surface for finished flooring. Except for a few rooms and touch-ups, we’ve nearly finished painting. Cabinets are next on the list. Flooring begins in June after the Gyp-Crete cures.

We’re deeply grateful to the subcontractors and volunteers who continue to show up and move this project forward, including recent groups from Holladay Properties and community members who have painted, done prep work, and much more. As dedicated volunteer Bob DeRuntz recently shared in his weekly update, many hands really do make the load lighter at The Crossing. We see the profound impact of many hands each and every day!
