Matthews LLC and our downtown neighbors want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) for making downtown South Bend a home for decades — and for the last 8 years, calling the Commerce Center your base.
During their time here, FSSA welcomed a wide range of visitors — from families in need and grieving widows to local attorneys and advocates. Their presence brought essential services to our community and introduced countless people to the wonders of our East Race neighborhood.
Visitors to FSSA had the chance to discover unique treasures right here in the Commerce Center, including:

FSSA also partnered with us and other downtown businesses to connect workers through vocational rehabilitation programs — a collaboration that benefited both employees and employers in our community.
We wish all the FSSA employees the very best in their new offices near Nimitz Parkway. And when their lease comes up again, we hope they find a more accessible location in downtown South Bend.
