5 tips for living apartment life with your cat!

1) Buy or make toys for your cat to enjoy while you are away. Toys that make a sound or have a treat component are particularly engaging.
2) Consider purchasing an indoor scratching post. Sharpening their claws is a healthy, natural habit for most cats so having a place for this keeps everyone happy and the furniture looking fresh.
3) Catnip can both stimulate your cat as well as help them to relax. If you are going to be away for longer than usual, consider sprinkling some on their favorite toys or hang-out spots.
4) Most indoor cats love to watch and interact with birds and squirrels outside. Consider buying a window perch so they have a great view of the outdoor wildlife. This can provide them hours of entertainment.
5) Try not to leave your cat unattended for more than 24 hours at a time. They tend to become stressed when their loft-mates are out for extended periods. Consider having a neighbor check in on them and offer a bit of playtime. Your furry friend will thank you.
