Starting this Friday, June 5th, you’ll be able to get Dry Riesling at Hollerhorn!
Some combinations just make sense and that’s especially true for two beverage makers here in the Bristol Valley—Glen Hollow and Hollerhorn.
For years, Glen Hollow has been introducing visitors to the best beverages and experiences in the Western FLX—and Hollerhorn has been producing both.
To celebrate getting together, the folks at Glen Hollow got things started with a little soiree down in the glen for a few friends. Turns out, Glen Hollow’s NYC brand ambassador Adrienne Cooper was having her birthday, so there were two things to celebrate that night.
Wine educator (and fellow Life in the Finger Lakes author) Maiah Johnson Dunn and her husband Andy were joined by creative Sarah Calandra and winemaker Rick Porter of Heron Hill — Glen Hollow co-owner and South Bristol Town Supervisor Lisa Moore created a sumptuous feast featuring (of course) Riesling chicken along with Glen Hollow’s 2024 vintage.
Afterward, Karl Neubauer did what he loves most: sharing the fruits of his labor, including a beautiful grappa aged in barrels used for Saperavi wine, and an apple brandy. (The brandy was an exceptional pairing with the apple polenta cake topped by a chantilly cream spiked with hollerhorn Old Growth).
It was an unforgettable night and featured many other FLX wines … but that’s for another post.
The most important thing to know is that the party does not end there: come down to Hollerhorn this weekend to try this fantastic Dry Riesling! (And maybe catch some on Saturday while you’re at it). And stay tuned for another party update because the Glen Hollow owners will be coming down soon to pour for you!
Cheers! 🥂💜🥃
