🏡 It typically takes a few weeks to prepare your home (or to search for a suitable home if you’re a buyer).

🤝 Offer and Negotiations can take a few days.

🛠 Inspections and Appraisals can take 2-4 weeks.

📆 Closing takes approximately 30 days.

These are just general timelines but it’s important to know the process and be prepared!

I've got GOOD NEWS to share with you!! And I want to shout it from the streets! 📣

For the first time in over a year, interest rates have come down substantially and more rate cuts are coming. I've found that most folks don't keep close track of interest rates or read the WSJ from cover to cover, so I wanted to make sure everyone here in the area know about it.

This is good news for anyone thinking of buying a home in 2024.

And even though we know more rate cuts are coming, I'm advising all of my clients to start looking NOW. Here's why:

Right now, you have the best of both worlds -- lower rates and lower competition.

Almost everyone will say they're "waiting on rates to come down" but very few will take action right now. Most likely, the first real rate cut won't come until later in the spring. But when that happens, loads of buyers will jump right back in the market, making it harder for you to get the house you want and probably pushing home prices higher again.

Instead, consider making a move NOW.

Find the house you want without competing with tons of other buyers. Take advantage of lower rates, knowing that in 12-18 months, you'll also be able to refinance at an even lower one!

I'm not planning on buying a house. But if I were, this is the strategy I would personally use.
