The median price of single-family homes sold in May reached $650,000, a new high. Single-family home prices have climbed 80% over the past five years in Salt Lake County.

December Prices set new monthly record!!

The median single-family home price in Salt Lake County climbed to $575,000 in December, a new monthly high and 28% higher than prices a year ago. Multi-family home prices also set a record in December, rising to $405,500, a 22% increase from December 2020. A new report by the Salt Lake Board of Realtors® projects that single-family home prices in 2022 will reach $600,000, a 12% increase over the 2021 median home price.

Salt Lake County’s median house price climbed to $225.09 per square foot in July, up 28% from $176.13 PSF in July 2020. The median price per square foot of a single-family home increased to $223.69 in July, up 31% from $170.76 a year ago. Condominiums and townhomes (multifamily) increased to $239.53 PSF, a 25% rise from last year. While the overall cost of a condo is generally less than a single-family home, its price per square foot is typically more because there is less square footage to spread the cost over.
