So proud of these amazing girls for receiving their Girl Scout Silver Award at the All That Glitters Award Ceremony today for their project, “Drive Safely. Save Lives.” in honor of their friend, Giada. ✨

Their hard work, dedication, and commitment to making a positive impact in our community have truly shined throughout this journey. Through their project, they not only honored Giada’s memory but also helped raise awareness about the importance of safe driving and making our roads safer for everyone.

In addition to earning the Silver Award, they were also recognized with the Service to Girl Scouting Bar for volunteering a minimum of 20 hours this year.

It was such a heartfelt ceremony celebrating leadership, service, and the difference all the Girl Scouts are making in their communities. I couldn’t be more proud of all they have accomplished and the bright futures ahead of them. 💚

There truly are no words to describe the emotions of finally seeing Hudsyn & Rylee’s Girl Scout Silver Award project, Drive Safe. Save Lives., come to life in memory of their sweet friend Giada. 🤍

What started as two girls wanting to honor someone they loved turned into something so much bigger than we ever imagined. Through the incredible support of our South Tahoe community, the girls were able to raise enough funds for not just one, but TWO memorial safety signs. The love, support, generosity, and turnout for the sign reveal and ribbon cutting was absolutely overwhelming in the best way.

The evening was filled with tears, hugs, love, and remembrance as we honored Giada’s beautiful life and shared an important message about safe driving. Watching these girls work so hard, pour their hearts into this project, and see the impact it has had on our community has been something truly unforgettable.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported this project, donated, attended, shared kind words, and stood beside these girls every step of the way. A very special thank you to Brooke Laine for helping make the sign installation happen, to CHP for closing down the road and keeping everyone safe during the ceremony, and to the Lancellotti family for allowing us the honor of paying tribute to Giada in such a meaningful way.

The way Tahoe shows up for one another is unlike anywhere else. The love and support in this community is something truly special, and we are so lucky to call this place home.
