35 years of Key Biscayne. 🌴

There’s a reason this island has been home to generations of families. The ocean is always close, neighbors know each other, and despite being just minutes from the city, life here has its own rhythm.

After 25 years in New York, I came back to Miami and chose Key Biscayne for this next chapter of my life. It’s where I’ve made new memories, found a community I love, and rediscovered how special it is to live surrounded by the water.

A lot is happening in the Miami market.

There is demand. There is wealth. There is international interest. There are cash buyers. Single-family inventory remains relatively constrained, and luxury continues to perform strongly.

But buyers are also becoming much more analytical.

After a strong summer, buyers are finding more choices and, in many condo markets, more room to negotiate. At the same time, inventory remains tight in many of Miami’s most established single-family neighborhoods.

Compass continues to lead sales across Coconut Grove, Coral Gables and Pinecrest, giving us a strong view into what’s happening across these established Miami markets.

The market isn’t simply up or down. It depends on location, property type and price point.

Brickell isn’t Coconut Grove. A condo isn’t a single-family home. And one building can tell a very different story from the one next door.

The opportunity lies in knowing the difference.

I didn’t take a straight path to real estate, and I’m grateful for that.

I spent 25 years in retail, built a life in New York, raised my family there, and eventually found my way back to the Miami I grew up in.

Each chapter changed the way I see homes, neighborhoods, and the people who live in them. It taught me to pay attention to the details, understand what people value, and appreciate how deeply a place can shape the way we live.

Today, I bring all of those experiences with me to my work in real estate.

Coconut Grove is where I grew up and in many ways, it has shaped how I see Miami.

I’ve watched the neighborhood evolve over the years, through different chapters of my own life. Much has changed, but the things that have always made the Grove special remain: the canopy of trees, the historic homes, the winding streets, and its unmistakable sense of place.

Some of these are places I’ve loved for years. Others are newer discoveries. Together, they represent the Coconut Grove I remember, the Grove I love today, and the reason this neighborhood will always feel like home.

A quick trip back to NYC, the city I called home for 25 years.

I stayed at The Twenty Two, intimate, warm, and somehow removed from the vibrant city just outside its doors.

The building was originally built in 1891 by Margaret Louisa Vanderbilt Shepard as a residence for young women moving to the city for work. There’s something so special about this place. Every detail feels thoughtfully considered, from the design to the service and the attention to the little things.

It felt wonderful to run around the city, revisit some old favorites, and then come home to the beautiful, special place.

A week upstate, and plenty of design inspiration along the way.

What stayed with me most about Wildflower Farms was the way the property feels so connected to its surroundings. The architecture doesn’t compete with the landscape, it frames it.

Natural materials, quiet interiors, expansive windows, and a seamless relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces. Every detail feels intentional, but never overdone.
