Mommy has always known how to take care of you. She carried you, nourished you, and gave you life. From the very beginning, Mommy has been fighting for you and your siblings.
And now, she gets to give you a piece of herself that will help you heal and give you more time, a second chance at life. A piece of Mommy that has been with you from the very start.
Watching your mommy give you everything she has, just like she always has, is something I will never be able to put into words. The love between a mother and her child is something extraordinary. It’s something I truly admire. Her determination, unconditional love, endless devotion and unbreakable courage are the reasons we are here now. She has taught me that a mother’s intuition is powerful and that speaking up can change everything.
She is your hero, Maxwell, just as she is mine. Carry her strength with you everywhere you go and always remember how fiercely loved you are. We are going to get through this together.

And to my beautiful wife, tomorrow is the day. The day you give our son life, a second time. I look at you today and all I can think about is how incredible you are. Even with everything we are facing, you’re the rock that keeps this whole family steady. People always talk about miracles like they’re just things that happen out of nowhere. But I know what ours really looks like. I’m watching it all unfold first hand. It looks like the quiet tears you’ve cried when no one is watching, the endless nights you spent digging for answers, and the fierce, stubborn way you refused to give up. This is all happening because of your heart and your fight.
